Feb 11, 2012 - Wartburg Select Meet & ISU Classic (Waverly & Ames, IA) - Marie Schofer continues to improve her mile this winter. At the Wartburg Select Meet, she dipped under five minutes running 4:59:85. The following week, at the ISU Classic, she improved another five seconds running a 4:54.96.
Jan 28, 2012 - Iowa 10K Snowshoe Championship (Cedar Falls, IA) - Scott Gall and Sarah Gall won the snow shoe race with times of 44:41 and 56:29.
Jan 28, 2012 - Amana Freezer Run (Amana, IA) - Nate Hopp won the Freezer Run 5k in 16:18.
Jan 21, 2012 - Cornell Invitation (Mt. Vernon, IA) - Marie won the 3,000 meters in 10:05.30.
Jan 21, 2012 - Iowa State Open (Ames, IA) - Chan Yew Woo, Mason Frank, and Nathan Hopp ran in the unseeded men's 5km. Chan Yew Woo ran 15:28 finishing 3rd. Mason Frank finished 5th with 15:33.88 and Nathan Hopp 8th running 15:40.06.
Jan 21, 2012 - Iowa State Open (Ames, IA) - Kristy Feldman doubled in the seeded 3km and 5km races finishing 4th in 10:33.87 and 9th in 18:32.60. Jen Van Otterloo also doubled, finishing 8th in the mile in 5:10.33. Jen also competed in the 800 meters finishing in 2:20.7, but was disqualified.
Jan 15, 2012 - Aramco Houston Half-Marathon (Houston, TX) - Nathan Hopp ran a PR in the half marathon with a time of 1:10:48.
Jan 14, 2012 - Panther Open (Cedar Falls, IA) - Marie returning to her old form after injury won the mile in 5:06. Kristy Feldman also competed in the 3000 placing 6th in 10:32.06.
Jan 14, 2012 - Olympic Trials Marathon (Houston, TX) - Four women competed in the Trials marathon. Danna Kelly led the way with a 2:45:42 finishing 82nd overall. Robyn Friedman finished 137th with a time of 2:54:54. Robyn ran despite dealing with a knee injury leading up to the race. Ashley Tollakson and Erin Moeller also competed but had to drop out due to injury. In the men's race, Jason Flogel finished 63rd overall with a time of 2:21:53.
