Runablaze men compete in early season track meet
Jan 21, 2012 - Iowa State Open (Ames, IA) - Chan Yew Woo, Mason Frank, and Nathan Hopp ran in the unseeded men's 5km. Chan Yew Woo ran 15:28 finishing 3rd. Mason Frank finished 5th with 15:33.88 and Nathan Hopp 8th running 15:40.06.
Kristy Feldman & Jen Van Otterloo double on the track at the ISU Open
Jan 21, 2012 - Iowa State Open (Ames, IA) - Kristy Feldman doubled in the seeded 3km and 5km races finishing 4th in 10:33.87 and 9th in 18:32.60. Jen Van Otterloo also doubled, finishing 8th in the mile in 5:10.33. Jen also competed in the 800 meters finishing in 2:20.7, but was disqualified.
Nathan Hopp competes in Houston Half Marathon
Jan 15, 2012 - Aramco Houston Half-Marathon (Houston, TX) - Nathan Hopp ran a PR in the half marathon with a time of 1:10:48.
Runablaze athletes compete at Olympic Trials Marathon
Jan 14, 2012 - Olympic Trials Marathon (Houston, TX) - Four women competed in the Trials marathon. Danna Kelly led the way with a 2:45:42 finishing 82nd overall. Robyn Friedman finished 137th with a time of 2:54:54. Robyn ran despite dealing with a knee injury leading up to the race. Ashley Tollakson and Erin Moeller also competed but had to drop out due to injury. In the men's race, Jason Flogel finished 63rd overall with a time of 2:21:53.
Marie Schofer is first woman in Turkey Trot
Nov 24, 2011 - Tall Trees Turkey Trot (Glenview, IL) - Marie Schofer was the first woman to cross the finish line in the 5k with a time of 18:04 after missing a full year of racing due to injury.

Runablaze Iowa is based out of Des Moines with club members statewide. Our mission is to develop and support post-collegiate, Iowa-based distance runners. We aspire to be competitive at individual and team events at the local, regional, and national level in the sports of road racing, track & field, and cross country. We are a USA Track & Field Elite Development Club and our goal is to provide our athletes as much as they require in terms of coaching, training gear, and travel expenses to national championship races.
