Runablaze athletes compete at Olympic Trials Marathon
Jan 14, 2012 - Olympic Trials Marathon (Houston, TX) - Four women competed in the Trials marathon. Danna Kelly led the way with a 2:45:42 finishing 82nd overall. Robyn Friedman finished 137th with a time of 2:54:54. Robyn ran despite dealing with a knee injury leading up to the race. Ashley Tollakson and Erin Moeller also competed but had to drop out due to injury. In the men's race, Jason Flogel finished 63rd overall with a time of 2:21:53.
Marie Schofer is first woman in Turkey Trot
Nov 24, 2011 - Tall Trees Turkey Trot (Glenview, IL) - Marie Schofer was the first woman to cross the finish line in the 5k with a time of 18:04 after missing a full year of racing due to injury.
Jason Flogel wins Turkey Trot in Dubuque
Nov 24, 2011 - Turkey Trot (Dubuque, IA) - Jason Flogel won the Turkey Trot 7.5 mile race with a time of 39:20 in his first race since June.
Ellen Ries wins Living History Farms race
Nov 19, 2011 - Living History Farms (Urbandale, IA) - Ellen Ries won the Living History Farms XC race followed by teammates Sarah Gall (15th) and Casey Owens (19th). The men's team also had a strong showing, winning the team race. Randy Bill led the way with a 2nd place effort. Scott Gall and Joe Aulwes finished 6th and 8th to finish the team scoring. Luke Demmel and Ermin Sabljakovic also competed for the team finishing 32nd and 34th.
Nathan Hopp and Erin Moeller win Turkey Trot five mile
Nov 19, 2011 - Return of the Turkey Trot (Marion, IA) - Nathan Hopp won the five mile in 25:48 and Erin Moeller won the women's division, 3rd overall in 27:32.

We aspire to be competitive at individual and team events at the local, regional, and national level in the sports of road racing, track & field, and cross country.
